AUSTIN, Texas -- Over the past two years, TFCinfo -- in cooperation with Church Production Magazine -- has been researching the church market and publishing the results in TFCinfo's Church Market Survey Series. Through this research, TFCinfo has found various trends affecting the church market and their use of audiovisual equipment.
TFCinfo has noticed that a rapidly growing number of churches understand the importance of praise worship, music ministry and audiovisual equipment and have included it into their strategic imperatives.
"Today’s society lives in a fast-moving, content-rich, networked, modern world," says Paul Martin, president of TFCinfo. "Many churchgoers expect the same from their church; it assures them that their church understands today’s world and isn't stuck in the past."
These new trends affecting churches have driven the market, making its potential greater than it has ever been before.
While the use of AV equipment has moved down from the megachurches into the medium-size and smaller churches, it's also moving out from the midsection of the country (Southern bible belt and Midwest) to the Northeast and tech-savvy Western states.
TFCinfo suggests that those brands who can establish a positive presence in this market now can benefit long-term by virtue of how closely knit and referral-oriented this market is -- and the most recognized brands already have a head start.
