Ministering to strippers, celeb-worshippers brings Christ where He's needed.

Historically, the American Church’s evangelical repertoire included tent revivals, pocket-sized tracts and street-corner disciples with megaphones spreading the Good News. As our fast-paced culture is increasingly bombarded with slick advertisements, music videos, text messages, phone calls and e-mails, reaching the unchurched mind in the 21st century takes a little more finesse. It takes time to make the human connection.

Maneuvering through the nitty-gritty of attention-draining whoopla is Las Vegas’ Central Christian Church. In the center of Sin City, among the allure of strip clubs, prostitution, gambling and other addictions, the church amps up its call to be heard.

Outreach Pastor Jon Bodin, who likes to call Las Vegas “Grace City,” says the church is “radically committed to outreach” with its motto: Belong, Believe and Become.

Bodin says his congregation aims to use relationships to “reach people who are far from God.” ...
